When the General Manager of QUEENS skate dine bowl found out about rink.pics, his first reaction was not to address the issues, but to request that the website be removed. Of course, being a customer myself who has wasted much money at Queens on bad ice, I don't want to settle so easily.

He eventually settled down, and focused on providing customers with a positive update via a public (anyone can get in by request, and there's a public link to it) WhatsApp group. I shared that very update on this website, along with the GM's name (public on LinkedIn), work email address (public online - literally just [email protected]). I included a screenshot of his message which he posted to the public group. Within the public interest. For journalistic purposes.

In a bizarre outburst of emotion, I then received the following message shortly thereafter:

I have been extra kind to R [name redacted due to bizarre legal threat], the General Manager of QUEENS skate dine bowl, and redacted his name and work email address. However, now everyone knows that he cares less about the experience of those who attend QUEENS, and more about his first name (which is already in the public domain, go search LinkedIn for "queens skate dine bowl general manager") and already-public comments.

And for the record, R [name redacted due to bizarre legal threat], the General Manager of QUEENS skate dine bowl, this is not for my personal fame. Where is my name on this website?
