Tuesday 6 August 2024 - QUEENS skate dine bowl ice rink CLOSED
Due to a fault with the Olympia Resurfacing Machine / Zamboni, QUEENS skate dine bowl’s ice rink is CLOSED, confirming just how bad the situation has gotten. Previously when the machine has stopped working, the rink has not had to close in the evening of Tuesday 6 August 2024. This likely
QUEENS skate dine bowl's ice rink has re-opened today. Unfortunately, the engineer for the Olympia Resurfacing Machine / Zamboni does not have the parts required so will need to attend again tomorrow.
Rink staff have managed to re-open the rink (condition not yet known) after flooding the rink over night to improve ice quality.
Management of the rink have not yet decided whether the rink will be open into the evening or not.
Further updates will be posted regarding the condition of the ice later today once photographs have been submitted.
